*WEBINAR: Managing Your Small Business Beyond the Pandemic - Sept. 22
The SBA’s recent changes to the Economic Injury Disaster Loan Program [EIDL] that could provide businesses a buffer against further COVID-19 related slowdowns is among topics of this week’s free webinar presented by the Small Business Development Center at CSU Bakersfield.
Host and SBDC director, Kelly Bearden will be joined by special guest, Keith Brice, president and CEO of Mid State Development Corporation. They will take a deep dive into recent substantial changes to SBA’s Economic Injury Disaster Loan Program that could trigger an exhaustion of funds and closure of the program by early October.
Among the changes to be discussed are an expansion in the eligible use of EIDL funds to include prepayment of commercial debt, a 30-day exclusivity window for approval and disbursement of loans for $500,000 or less, and a newly simplified application process.
Questions from attendees will be taken.
This marks the 80th in the weekly “Webinar Wednesday” series that provides reopening and current pandemic relief updates on available federal, state, and local funding options, tax credit programs, employee programs, and other opportunities helpful to employers and business owners.
The SBDC is open and provides free one-on-one consulting to help small business owners. New and existing businesses can sign up for assistance by clicking here!
