Helping Your Business Start, Grow and Succeed

New laws that will affect CA businesses including paid sick leave expansion, public prosecution for wage theft labor code violations, reproductive loss leave, and increase of the minimum wage to $20 per hour for fast-food workers are among topics of this week’s free webinar presented by the Small Business Development Center at CSU Bakersfield.

Host and SBDC director, Kelly Bearden is joined by Celeste Young-Ramos, CEO of the Restaurant Success Center and seasoned owner, manager and advisor of restaurants and other businesses. Young-Ramos discusses human resources updates and new laws governing workplace rules and regulations in 2024.

Bearden begins the webinar with information on the Corporate Transparency Act, and the IRS Employee Retention Credit Amnesty Program.

This marks the 305th episode of the weekly “Webinar Wednesday” business series that provides news and information helpful to employers and business owners. The CSU Bakersfield SBDC provides free one-on-one consulting to help small business owners.
