Small businesses engaged in Research & Development (R&D) may be eligible to access government dollars through the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and the Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs.
SBIR provides early-stage research and development funding to small technology companies or individuals who are interested in forming a company. STTR is a similar program that requires small businesses to team up with a research institution, such as a university.
This workshop will provide an extensive overview of the different phases of these federal programs, as well as an in-depth discussion of a simple, yet highly-effective process for developing a competitive Phase I and Phase II proposal. The workshop will review all important commercialization aspects of the proposal.
