A Small Business Administration official will be on hand to discuss financial assistance for businesses and residents in declared disaster areas during this week’s free webinar presented by the Small Business Development Center at CSU Bakersfield.
Host and SBDC director, Kelly Bearden will be joined by Mary Anne Bradfield, Public Information Officer with the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Office of Disaster Recovery and Resilience, Western Field Operations Center. She will discuss the most recent disaster declaration from March storms, available relief options for businesses and residents for physical damage and economic loss, and how this most recent disaster differs from the earlier declaration in January.
Discussion will also include suggestions and options for businesses affected by one or both disasters, with examples of how businesses need to apply to obtain proper relief.
Bradfield was assigned to Kern and Tulare Counties for the recent Presidential Disaster Declaration SBA Declaration CA #17842 & #17843 (Disaster: CA-00376) for severe winter storms, straight-line winds, flooding, landslides & mudslides.
Bearden will begin the webinar with a look at weather-related disaster assistance for businesses from local, state, and federal governments, the economy, and capital resources programs.
